Amazon: active customer service

I ordered a book from Amazon a few weeks ago (a pre-order, actually, since the book – the paperback edition of Aravind Adiga’s Booker-prize-winning The White Tiger – wasn’t then out).

Between the time that I ordered and they shipped, the price of that book went down (by £1.50). I had no idea of this. But Amazon have something called their “Pre-order Price Guarantee”, which means if this happens they automatically give me the lower price and refund the difference from what they charged me.

They did this yesterday, and emailed me about it.

They are ace.
