Rum cocktail recipes

Here are some of the rum cocktails the group tried at E&O the other night:

NATALIE’S DAIQUIRI
50ml Elements 8 Gold rum
25ml organic cloudy apple juice
10ml lime juice
10ml cinnamon syrup
10ml vanilla syrup
2 nails of ginger

Muddle ginger.
Shake rest of ingredients and fine strain into a martini glass.

This was apparently made for Natalie Imbruglia, who visited the restaurant recently. I didn’t try it.

THAI BASIL & LEMONGRASS MARTINI
50ml Elements 8 Platinum rum
20ml umeshu plum wine
20ml lemon juice
20ml sugar syrup
4 leaves of thai basil
1 stalk of lemon grass
1 nail of fresh chilli

Muddle lemongrass.
Shake rest of ingredients and fine strain into a martini glass.

This was my favourite. Very spicy, very tasty.

ELEMENTS 8 ORIENTAL
50ml Elements 8 Platinum rum
20ml umeshu plum wine
10ml cinnamon syrup
10ml lemon juice
2 dashes of peach bitters
orange zest

Stir all ingredients in boston with ice.
Fine strain into martini glass and zest orange over drink.

A bit too fruity for me.
